Expertise Capacity & Professionalism

Fertile Earth Team

Experts in the Field

17 Years of Professional Expertise

Founded in 2008 and led by Dr. Lanette Sobel (MS, DPM), dubbed "Miami's Queen of Compost" by the Miami Herald. And when the Doc gets stumped, we've got a team of consultants with a combined 112 years of composting and soil science wisdom.

Professional Cleaning Operations

Professionalism

We come when we say we're going to come. We have the right tools for the job and we do the whole job, and we leave it clean. We know how important it is to handle the waste properly because when you don't, it's nasty.

Compost Trucks

The Right Tools for the Job

Food is much heavier and wetter than regular garbage, which means a regular garbage truck and trash containers are not designed to handle just food. In 2008 when we started, there were no trucks on the market that could handle food without leaking all over the road. No pressurized water tanks on the side to clean the toters. So we had to custom order one. We learned a lot, and customized a second truck. We're now on our 3rd fully customized garbage truck with all the bells and whistles to keep our operation running smoothly, and your business feeling proud.

Service Area

We service commercial food waste generators throughout South Florida: Homestead, Miami-Dade, Broward, West Palm Beach, and the Florida Keys.

Capacity

We can handle the volume. We have the right equipment, we have the network of farmers on top of our own 17 acres, and we have the right team and connections.

Absolutely. Our superior vermicomposting process handles all food waste including meat, dairy, oils, and heavy organic material. Unlike standard composting, our method processes these materials efficiently without odor issues.

Most clients are operational within 1-2 weeks of site assessment. We provide containers, staff training, and begin regular pickups on your preferred schedule.

All material is transported to our 10+ acre certified facility where it undergoes our proprietary vermicomposting process. Instead of contaminating landfills, your organic waste becomes premium soil amendments returned to South Florida's agricultural and landscaping communities.
