Farm Partnerships: Increase Crop Yields while Saving Money on Inputs

Join our Black Gold Network to get regular access to the nitrogen-rich feedstock you need to make the best fertilizer a farmer can use: food scraps.

Farm Drop-off

How It Works

Most farmers have plenty of access to mulch, but did you know that adding food scraps to your mulch piles will give you more nutritious soil, faster? Building your own soil can save a farm thousands on low-quality, imported soil amendments, and the finished compost you make grows stronger, healthier plants that require less fertilizer and pesticides. Plus, you become a vital part of the waste crisis solution. At Fertile Earth Worm Farm, we're offering a decentralized solution to both the fertilizer issues and waste crisis plaguing Miami Dade Residents and Farmers for decades.

For just $50 per truckload, you'll receive a consistent supply of premium organic material to feed your soil, reduce your input costs, and close the loop on our region's food system.

The Real Cost of Building Soil

Let's talk numbers. Traditional soil amendments add up fast:

  • Commercial compost: $20–$50 per cubic yard
  • Organic fertilizers: $200–$440 per application for an average field
  • Screened topsoil: $20–$40 per cubic yard
  • Manure-based amendments: $30+ per cubic yard

For a small farm operation, monthly spending on soil amendments and fertilizers can easily exceed $300–$800 or more, depending on your acreage and crop needs.

Our partnership offers a smarter solution: For $50, you receive an entire truckload of diverse, nutrient-rich food scraps—the nitrogen-rich feedstock necessary for that beautiful black gold.

That's premium organic matter for pennies on the dollar compared to buying commercial compost or fertilizers. One $50 truckload from Fertile Earth could replace hundreds of dollars in purchased amendments, while giving you control to compost it your way and build the exact soil your farm needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

You'll receive high-quality food scraps from our commercial partners—vegetable trimmings, fruit scraps, coffee grounds, and other food items. All material is pre-screened to ensure it's suitable for composting.

Not at all! We provide training as part of our onboarding process. We'll walk you through best practices for receiving, managing, and composting the material to create optimal soil amendments for your farm.

Delivery frequency is flexible and based on your farm's capacity and needs. We'll work together to establish a schedule that works for both of us—whether that's weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

That's the beauty of our decentralized network, someone can always take a truckload, so no one farmer has to take everything. We'll help you assess your capacity during onboarding. You can start with less frequent deliveries and scale up as you develop your composting systems and see the results in your soil.

Call us at (786) 232-3102, we would love to discuss your particular needs.

Our onboarding includes guidance on proper composting techniques, managing moisture and carbon-to-nitrogen ratios, troubleshooting common issues, and maximizing the nutritional value of your finished compost. We're invested in your success as a partner.

This is a mostly symbolic fee, since any added stop and moving our gigantic truck anywhere usually costs at least this much.
