South Florida's Leading Team of Composting Experts

NEW COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Introducing our latest collaboration!
A sizeable percentage of the soil that we create (from our residential composting program with the Village of Pinecrest), is now going to help renovate sections of the Everglades directly inside Miccosukee Indian Reservations. The new program is called the Everglades Earth Cycle.

OUR MISSION
• To Transform Miami/Ft Lauderdale into a national leader in composting & zero-waste
• To Create organic, living soil for future generations of South Floridians

These are the forward-looking companies trailblazing the way to a greener future for South Florida
Together we have diverted tens of millions of pounds of surplus food away from landfills, and put it to use regenerating our community.
Companies are surprised to find out that that in some cases, composting actually LOWERS their waste management budget.

How To Choose a Composting Company
5 VITAL QUESTIONS

1. What is your history?
Fertile Earth and multiple forward-thinking companies are already well on the path to zero-waste! Together we have rescued tens of millions pounds of food scraps and returned them to the Earth as organic soil.

2. Do you have your own farm?
CHECK. Our six acres of land are so organic and so green that they are often used for photo and TV shoots. We also lead an alliance of five sister farms, totaling over 40 acres.

3. Thoughts on PFAS?
An organic future for South Florida begins with creating healthy soil for the next generations. So we work very hard at keeping our compost free of plastics, PFAs and compostable plastics.

4. What is your experience with Florida soils.
Leading our team of soil experts, "Miami's Queen of Compost," Dr. Lanette Sobel has studied, processed, and analyzed soil for over 20 years.

5. How can I be a part of this large-scale composting enterprise that is revolutionizing South Florida?
