RED WIGGLERS!

Pure Red Wiggler worms, also known as Pure Eisenia Fetida, are renowned for their efficiency in decomposing organic waste and for producing nutrient-rich vermicompost. They adapt to diverse environments and reproduce quickly, facilitating large-scale waste processing.

The resulting castings (aka worm poop) enhance soil fertility and structure, promoting healthy plant growth. They're a favorite for all kinds of composting due to their effectiveness and manageable size.

  • Versatile and easy to manage for beginners
  • Red Wigglers prefer 55° to 77°F climates but can tolerate 40° to 90°F
  • Bed run and healthy

FAQs  &  INFO

Q: How many worms in one pound?

Approximately 800-1000.

Q: How many do I need for a 55-gallon drum that is half-full of compost?

If you are not in a hurry (or if you are just getting started with vermicomposting), it is completely legitimate to start with just a 1/4 pound of worms while you learn, to be more cost-effective. And if everything goes well, the worms will of course multiply.

If this is not your first worm-rodeo and you want to start producing more efficiently, then one pound is great; two pounds is more great; (and you can even safely start with more than that).

One thing to consider: There is a limit: Once there are four pounds of worms per square foot, the worms will stop reproducing.
